Art & Meditation for Kids

In this workshop we will learn expressive painting techniques, explore the universe of color, shape and imagination. There will be an introduction to mindfulness techniques. Mindfulness is about being fully aware of whatever is happening in the present moment, without filters or the lens of judgment. We will have fun while exercising how to remain present. This will allow children to be more aware of their emotions and find effective ways to calm their nervous systems.

Materials

Students can use their favorite materials. We can start with a small acrylic starter pack, 2 brushes, colors or pens and a watercolor pad.

Students up to 12 years old.

How many students?

Groups of 20 students.

Online or paper prompts?

Both can be used.

How long?

30 to 45 minutes.

French or English?

Both can be used.

All skill levels will enjoy this workshop. No mindfulness knowledge is needed.
